Our Story
The story of escapio begins – like many unforgettable trips – with a deeply personal experience: founder Uwe Frers' honeymoon in Tuscany. While searching for a hotel that was not just beautiful but truly special, he realized how difficult it was to find real hidden gems. That search became an idea. And that idea became a platform: escapio.
For over 20 years, we have been helping people find exactly the right hotel for their getaway – far from the ordinary, close to the extraordinary. Our hand-picked selection is designed for travelers who value style, atmosphere, and a special feeling.
Today, escapio is based in Berlin-Mitte and is led by Anette Toedt and Helene Hettl. Our entire team works here with great passion to evolve escapio: digital, inspiring, and future-oriented.
